“Yes… Mom and Dad really didn’t know?” Mei Ya looked genuinely surprised. “I thought big bro had already told you.”
“I didn’t tell you either… How did you find out?” Mei Fang was astonished.
“I discovered that the site administrator of C-Site was ‘Mountain Has Linxi’ – isn’t that Youxi-jie’s QQ name? Right… it is Youxi-jie, isn’t it?”
Lin Youxi nodded hesitantly. “We were planning to explain this to uncle and aunt together with Ah Fang… Actually, the website wasn’t started by me alone. Ah Fang handles most of the operations.”
Xia Yuan wiped her mouth and quickly added praise for her sweetheart: “That’s right, that’s right! Our Ah Fang is now the big boss of Linxi Technology, worth tens of millions!”
For once, the reincarnated Mei Fang got to enjoy showing off in front of his family, especially satisfying after being made to kneel in punishment by his mother just the day before. Seeing his mother’s shocked expression gave him an inexplicable thrill.
Xiang Xiaoxia set down her chopsticks. “You… aren’t playing some joke on us adults, are you? How could you be doing such things? Ah Fang, you tell me yourself.”
“Yes, we have a company.” Mei Fang scratched his head, pretending to be embarrassed. Mei Lijun also looked incredulous: “I say, you kids doing such big things outside without telling your families – what were you thinking?”
“If we told you, you probably wouldn’t have believed us… And you’d have said it would affect our studies.”
“The ultimate purpose of studying, besides self-improvement, is to find a good job anyway.”
Xiang Xiaoxia slowly put down her chopsticks, frowned and stared at Mei Fang for a long moment. “You haven’t been scammed by bad people, have you? You’re not doing anything illegal, right?”
“Of course not! Don’t you know your own son…”
This made Xiang Xiaoxia so angry she smacked Mei Fang on the head. “Know you? How could I possibly know you! Making websites outside, writing songs, participating in programming competitions – what else haven’t you told me? Just say it all at once!”
“Actually…” Xia Yuan couldn’t help interjecting, “Ah Fang is also developing games.”
“You really have more! You little rascal!”
Xiang Xiaoxia and Mei Lijun listened carefully at the dining table as Mei Fang recounted his business ventures since elementary school. Apart from understanding that Mei Yue was also involved in the company operations, much of the content left them confused, and they ultimately found it all quite unbelievable.
Compared to Xiang Xiaoxia’s hesitation, Mei Lijun was much more open-minded. He laughed heartily and patted his son’s head. “Actually, ever since you started tinkering with computer technology at such a young age, I knew you’d achieve something in this field one day.”
“If you’d really said that back then, I’d be shocked. Should I dig up the history books?”
“What history books are you talking about?”
Mei Fang retorted irritably: “When we went to buy programming books before, you often mocked me, saying I wasn’t accomplishing anything with computers and didn’t know what the point of studying this was. Now you see the point, don’t you?”
(Note: Can refer back to Chapter 047 to see Mei Lijung’s embarrassing past)
Mei Lijun: “That was motivational talk to help you improve. You were too young to understand your father’s good intentions back then. But looking at the results now, it proves my educational philosophy was effective. It’s normal that you don’t understand Dad now. When you reach my age and become a father yourself, you’ll understand.”
“Dad, I’ve discovered you’re truly stubborn.”
“How am I stubborn!”
As Mei Fang and his father bickered, Xia Yuan whispered to Lin Youxi:
“Ah Fang and Uncle Mei are like two peas in a pod.”
“Couldn’t agree more,” Lin Youxi nodded.
Although Xia Yuan and Mei Fang had publicly announced their relationship to his parents, in the following days Xiang Xiaoxia treated both Xia Yuan and Lin Youxi exactly the same.
This was actually something Xia Yuan had proactively brought up during her talk with Xiang Xiaoxia:
[Although I’m together with Ah Fang now, Youxi is also my important family. So I hope Auntie Xiang won’t treat me specially – that would make Youxi sad.]
Xia Yuan hadn’t discussed this in advance with either Lin Youxi or Mei Fang – these were her genuine thoughts. Coincidentally, this aligned perfectly with what Xiang Xiaoxia had already been planning, though she had been worried whether Yuan Yuan might feel jealous about it.
After realizing Xia Yuan shared her perspective, Xiang Xiaoxia could only love these two childhood sweethearts even more. Mei Fang, meanwhile, felt his presence in his mother’s eyes had diminished further.
As for Mei Fang becoming a millionaire, the family naturally decided to keep it quiet and not spread the news further. Actually, ever since Mei Fang was very young, Xiang Xiaoxia and Mei Lijun had recognized their child’s strong initiative and independence – he basically didn’t need their supervision, and excessive interference from them would only make him unhappy.
Every penny Mei Fang had earned came from his own hard work, and his parents had no intention of taking it from him—they simply reminded him not to squander his wealth recklessly.
As for his academic future, they no longer pressed him with excessive expectations.
Their stay in Baizhou continued until year’s end. On the eve of their return home, the family celebrated Mei Fang’s birthday together.
This was his seventeenth birthday—one step away from official adulthood.
This year, Mei Fang had specifically asked Xia Yuan and Lin Youxi not to prepare gifts. Yet on the night of his birthday celebration, the two childhood sweethearts still sneaked into his room and slipped under his covers.
“Making such a racket—aren’t you afraid Mom will hear?”
Mei Fang lifted the blanket just enough to let the girls nestle against him for warmth. Xia Yuan nuzzled his neck before guiding his hand to her chest.
“Even if she finds out, it’s fine. We’re completely innocent, after all.”
She murmured, “But since it’s Ah Fang’s birthday today… we can be a little more indulgent.”
Lin Youxi leaned in close to his ear: “You can be even more indulgent with me, too.”
“Hah…”
After some intimate moments, Mei Fang took a deep breath and covered his face, flushed with embarrassment. “Why do you always tempt me like this? No one else has to deal with this kind of thing…”
“Why is it ‘tempting’? Isn’t this completely normal?”
Xia Yuan smiled. “But it’s understandable—Ah Fang is still young. It’s only natural he’d get shy around his older sisters.”
“It’s clearly bothering you down there… Are you sure you don’t want our help?”
“No, I’ll… handle it myself after you leave.”
Mei Fang grumbled, “We really can’t go further until we’re adults. There are… unavoidable reasons.”
“If that’s the case…” Lin Youxi’s breath tickled his ear, making refusal nearly impossible. “Can I get an advance on my eighteenth birthday gift?”
“Y-you can… but nothing too risqué.”
“If we can’t touch… then can we at least take a look at Yuan Yuan?”
Xia Yuan’s face turned crimson at Lin Youxi’s suggestion. After a moment of pouting deliberation, she nodded. “I-I think that’s okay. Just looking isn’t risqué, right? And it’s not like we haven’t seen before… My adult birthday gift this year can just be this, too.”
Poor Mei Fang stood no chance against their combined assault.
Finally, he relented with great reluctance. “R-really? You might get scared, you know?”
“It’s fine… Yuan Yuan and I are mentally prepared… Right, Yuan Yuan?”
“Y-yeah! We learned all about it in biology and health class anyway. This is just… reviewing the material.”
“Exactly. Theoretical review. Well said, Yuan Yuan.”
Lin Youxi approved wholeheartedly as the two pulled Mei Fang upright.
Even through his long underwear, “Little Mei Fang” was now in a state beyond concealment.
…
That night, the trio remained chaste in the strictest sense—but they certainly had their fun.
